PPC Forecast · Effective September 24, 2026
PPC Forecast is a paid search forecasting tool operated by DirectRoute Design (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information PPC Forecast collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Who uses PPC Forecast
PPC Forecast is used by DirectRoute Design staff to prepare paid search opportunity reports for our clients. Clients may view reports we share with them through a private link. Viewing a shared report does not require an account.
Information we collect
- Staff account details. When a DirectRoute Design staff member signs in, we process their name and email address to authenticate them.
- Report inputs. The keywords, target locations, budgets and business assumptions (such as conversion rate, order value and margin) entered to build a report, along with the client name and any branding supplied, such as a logo URL or brand colour.
- Keyword data from Google. Search volume, competition, bid estimates and traffic forecasts retrieved from the Google Ads API. This is aggregated market data about search terms. It does not identify any individual.
- Shared link activity. How many times a shared report has been viewed and when it was last viewed.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard request information, such as IP address, browser type and time of access, for security and reliability.
How we use Google data
PPC Forecast connects to the Google Ads API using DirectRoute Design's own Google Ads account to retrieve keyword planning data. It does not ask anyone to sign in with their Google Account, and it does not access the Google Account data of report viewers or any other person.
PPC Forecast's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data received from Google APIs is used only to produce the reports described here. We do not:
- sell it, or use it for advertising;
- transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the service, comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition;
- use it to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models;
- allow humans to read it except with consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or where it has been aggregated and anonymised.
How we use information
We use the information above to build and deliver reports, to authenticate staff, to keep the service secure, and to fix problems. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.
Cookies
PPC Forecast uses only the cookies strictly needed to keep signed-in staff members signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Viewing a shared report sets no cookies.
Who we share information with
- The client a report was prepared for, through the private link we send them.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: our cloud hosting provider, Supabase (database and sign-in), and Google (the Google Ads API).
- Authorities, where required by law.
Information may be stored and processed outside Québec, including in the United States, by the service providers listed above.
How long we keep it
- Reports and their saved results are kept for as long as we work with the client they were prepared for, or until we delete them.
- Cached keyword data is refreshed and discarded after about 30 days.
- Shared links can be revoked or set to expire at any time, after which the report stops being viewable through that link.
- Technical logs are kept according to our hosting provider's retention settings.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access to reports and stored data is limited to authorised DirectRoute Design staff, and credentials for Google and our database are held only on our servers, never in the browser.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete information about you, or ask us to take down a report prepared for your business, by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
As required by Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, DirectRoute Design has designated a person in charge of the protection of personal information. You can reach them at [email protected].
Children
PPC Forecast is a business tool and is not directed to children.
